TOKYO, Japan - July 31, 2020 - Leading semiconductor test equipment supplier Advantest Corporation (TSE: 6857) has received an Encouragement Award in the 2019 Environmental Human Resources Development Corporate Awards, which is jointly sponsored by Japan's Ministry of the Environment and by the Environmental Consortium for Leadership Development (EcoLeaD). This marks the second consecutive year Advantest has been honored with this award.
The Environmental Human Resources Development Corporate Awards recognize companies that are making notable efforts to train and promote human resources who lead environmentally friendly corporate activities, and who support such activities-in other words, environmental human resources.
Advantest was positively evaluated for its in-house social networking service where employees can share news about volunteer activities, environmentally friendly livestyles, and other ideas, and for employee contributions to UNESCO's World Terakoya Movement*1 and Charibon*2 as a result of posts on the networking service. This award will stimulate further efforts targeting environmental human resource development and CSR activities.
