Following the announcement of a state of emergency by the Japanese government, Advantest has updated its coronavirus policy.
Work From Home in Restricted Areas
Employees working at facilities in the areas subject to the state of emergency, and employees (including contract and temporary staff) who live in these areas shall, in principle, work from home. The facilities affected by this policy are the company's head office in Marunouchi and the Ikebukuro office, both in Tokyo; the Saitama R&D Center in Saitama Prefecture; and the Kitakyushu R&D Center in Fukuoka Prefecture.
Regarding the support services required to maintain business continuity for Advantest's customers, the company will endeavor to maintain normal levels of support while utilizing online support tools.
Production and Logistics
At present, Advantest's production and logistics have not been significantly affected, but the ongoing impact of the state of emergency is difficult to forecast. The company will continue to monitor the situation closely.
Commitment to Health
In accordance with the policies and guidance of the Japanese government, local government, and administrative agencies, Advantest considers its foremost responsibility to be protecting the health of its employees and their families, as well as customers and other stakeholders, by helping to prevent the spread of infection. In addition, the company will strive to maintain business continuity by making responsible efforts to ensure the delivery of products and support services.
