Following the extension of a state of emergency announced on May 4 by the Japanese government, we keep continue all measures as reported on April 8. In addition, "Work From Home in Restricted Areas" has been expanded to cover all employees and facilities in Japan since April 17.


Following the announcement of a state of emergency by the Japanese government, Advantest has updated its coronavirus policy.

Work From Home in Restricted Areas

Employees working at facilities in the areas subject to the state of emergency, and employees (including contract and temporary staff) who live in these areas shall, in principle, work from home. The facilities affected by this policy are the company's head office in Marunouchi and the Ikebukuro office, both in Tokyo; the Saitama R&D Center in Saitama Prefecture; and the Kitakyushu R&D Center in Fukuoka Prefecture.

Customer Support

Regarding the support services required to maintain business continuity for Advantest's customers, the company will endeavor to maintain normal levels of support while utilizing online support tools.

Production and Logistics

At present, Advantest's production and logistics have not been significantly affected, but the ongoing impact of the state of emergency is difficult to forecast. The company will continue to monitor the situation closely.
