Advantest Responds to Cybersecurity Incident

TOKYO, Japan – Feb. 19, 2026 – Leading semiconductor test equipment supplier Advantest Corporation (TSE: 6857) announced today that it is responding to a cybersecurity incident involving ransomware that may have impacted certain systems within its network. On Feb. 15 (JST), the company detected unusual activity within its IT environment. Upon detection, Advantest immediately activated its incident response protocols, isolated affected systems, and engaged leading third-party cybersecurity experts to assist in the investigation and containment of the incident.

Preliminary findings appear to indicate that an unauthorized third party may have gained access to portions of the company’s network and deployed ransomware. If our investigation determines that customer or employee data was affected, we will notify impacted persons directly and provide guidance on protective measures. This investigation is actively ongoing and is being carried out in close collaboration with leading cybersecurity experts. Advantest is focused on understanding the full extent of this incident while reinforcing all possible defenses.
