TOKYO, Japan—July 7, 2026—Leading semiconductor test equipment supplier Advantest Corporation (TSE: 6857) today announced that it has been awarded the Silver Medal* in recognition of its sustainability performance by EcoVadis, an internationally recognized sustainability ratings provider headquartered in France. Advantest had previously received Bronze Medal ratings in the same sustainability assessment in 2024 and 2025.
EcoVadis has comprehensively assessed more than 170,000 suppliers across 180 countries to date. Its sustainability assessment is based on four themes: Environment, Labor & Human Rights, Ethics, and Sustainable Procurement. Many global companies refer to this assessment as an important criterion in selecting their suppliers.
*The Silver Medal is awarded to companies scoring in the top 15% of companies assessed by EcoVadis.
In its third mid-term management plan, Advantest has positioned “enhancing sustainability initiatives” as one of its key strategies. To promote sustainability, the company has established a Sustainability Policy and formulated its Sustainability Action Plan 2024–2026, which defines priority themes together with specific goals and key performance indicators (KPIs).
