SAN JOSE, CA – March 26, 2018 – Leading semiconductor test equipment supplier Advantest Corporation (TSE: 6857) has announced the technical program and keynote speakers for its VOICE 2018 Developer Conference. The conference will return to San Diego, California on May 15-16 and Hsinchu, Taiwan on May 23 under the unifying theme "Measure the Connected World and Everything in ItSM.”

The foundation of VOICE continues to be its comprehensive learning and networking opportunities – including an enhanced technical program for 2018, featuring paper submissions from authors spanning 12 countries and 28 companies, a partners’ exposition and social gatherings. This year’s technical tracks will focus on device/system level test, internet of things (IoT), test methodologies, hardware and software design integration, optimizing productivity and the latest hot topics. Attendees can also connect with Advantest product experts during the expanded Technology Kiosk Showcase in both locations.

“The ensuing significance of semiconductors continues as we face ‘digitize or die’ challenges such as IoT, the ‘electronification’ trend of the auto sector, and the steady growth of virtual and augmented reality,” said Steve Elenniss, technical chairman of the VOICE 2018 Developer Conference and Advantest senior staff application engineer. “With topics such as 5G, AI, and the secure cloud, the VOICE 2018 technical program is uniquely designed to help the semiconductor ATE industry rise to meet these challenges. VOICE attendees will discover what solutions are being developed by their peers around the world, learn insightful applications from the Advantest user community, and examine cutting-edge solutions from VOICE sponsors as we continue to measure the connected world...and everything in it.”

On the second day of VOICE in San Diego, Mike Walsh, CEO of Tomorrow, a global consultancy on designing companies for the 21st century, will present a keynote on “Reinventing Leadership for the Age of Machine Intelligence.” A best-selling author and true nomad, Walsh travels more than 300 days a year worldwide, researching trends, collecting innovation case studies and presenting on the future of business. He takes an anthropological approach – scanning the near horizon for emerging technologies and disruptive shifts in human behavior, and then translating these into pragmatic plans for business transformation.

The VOICE keynote speaker in Taiwan will be Dr. Nicky Lu, chairman, CEO and founder of Etron Technology, Inc., a fabless IC design and product company. As a researcher, design architect, entrepreneur and chief executive, Dr. Lu has dedicated his career to the worldwide IC design and semiconductor industry. He is an IEEE fellow and holds 30 U.S. patents, has authored more than 60 papers, and received numerous awards, including the National Medal of Excellence in Science & Technology in Taiwan. At VOICE, Dr. Lu will discuss the “Synergistic Growth of AI and Silicon Age 4.0 Through Heterogeneous Integration of Technologies.”

As VOICE continues to expand, so do the opportunities for networking with added time to the Partners’ Expo, breaks, and a unique evening event in San Diego. VOICE Taiwan will also feature a Partners’ Expo and evening reception, which will include entertainment, lucky draw prizes, and award announcements.
