The 26th science and craft class was held (participants crafted propeller cars with plastic bottles)

Advantest holds a “science and craft class” twice a year, in order to let children experience the fun of crafting and science. This time, we held the class at our Gunma R&D center (Meiwa-machi, Ora-gun, Gunma-Pref.) for schoolchildren living nearby.

On the day of the class, 221 people including 101 neighboring schoolchildren and their guardians participated in the class, which was the most attendees in the class’s history. Crafting instructors, mainly our young employees, supported the children, and all of them could create propeller cars made of plastic bottles and drive them.

Participants told us their impressions, such as “I have not had a chance to enjoy crafting with my children. It was a fun to craft something together with them”, or “Crafting was difficult. But when my car moved, I was delighted”. It was an enjoyable day.

Advantest will continuously work on activities to let children experience the fun of crafting and science.
