Advantest Selected as a "White 500" Company

METI Program Certifies Excellent Health & Productivity Management

TOKYO, Japan – March 10, 2021 – Leading semiconductor test equipment supplier Advantest Corporation (TSE: 6857) today announced that it has been certified as an excellent corporation under the Certified Health & Productivity Management Organization Recognition Program (large enterprise category) jointly implemented by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry and the Nippon Kenko Kaigi (Japan Health Council). At the same time, the company was selected as one of the "White 500", the top 500 corporations certified under the program in 2021.

Advantest has worked with its health insurance society and labor union to encourage health checkups, improve the implementation rate of specific health guidance, and launch a health portal site. Other activities that directly affect the health of employees are also underway, such as health literacy education and health promotion programs.

The company will continue to strive to create a workplace where all employees can work in good physical and mental health, seeing this as an essential part of its contributions to the development of our sustainable future.

About the Certified Health & Productivity Management Outstanding Organizations Recognition Program

To highlight outstanding enterprises engaging in efforts to advance health and productivity management, the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) has designed the Certified Health & Productivity Management Organization Recognition Program as an initiative held by the Health Investment Working Group of the Next-Generation Healthcare Industrial Council, a body holding joint meetings with the Health and Productivity Management 500 Working Group of the Nippon Kenko Kaigi* and the SME Ten-Thousand Health-Declaration Working Group. Under the recognition program, the Nippon Kenko Kaigi examines large enterprises, SMEs and other organizations engaging in initiatives for overcoming health-related challenges in communities or for promoting health-conscious activities led by the Nippon Kenko Kaigi, and recognizes outstanding enterprises engaging in efforts for health and productivity management.
