Meet Luisa, a working student supporting the Human Capital and Corporate Communications departments at Advantest Europe GmbH.

"After taking part in Advantest's Girls Day for the first time in 2013 and completing my career orientation here in 2018, I was asked in April 2024 whether I would like to support the Human Capital and Corporate Communications departments with design tasks as a working student.

Being able to work as a communications designer for an semiconductor test company in the high-tech sector opened completely new and interesting perspectives for me during my studies. I was given the opportunity to incorporate my creative ideas and skills into exciting projects right from the start. I was impressed by how quickly you get the opportunity as a working student to develop visual concepts independently and implement hands-on design solutions.

From day one, I felt part of the company and the team. I am pleased that the skills I learned during my studies are valued here and that I can gain valuable, professional experience as a result. I think it's great that Advantest gives me the opportunity to constantly look at my design work from new perspectives, and I'm looking forward to the tasks that lie ahead. Advantest really is a great place to work and even sponsors my favorite club, VfB Stuttgart. "

Meet Alana, who works as a Customer Service Representative in Advantest Europe GmbH.

"I have been with Advantest since 2015 and started my journey here as an apprentice industrial clerk at the site in Amerang, Germany. I now work in Sales Support in Munich and appreciate everyday. I'm currently doing my industrial business management qualification alongside my job, and Advantest is supporting me in this.

What makes my time at Advantest special? It's not just the professional experience, but also the shared activities. Whether it's a game of table football during the breaks or a spontaneous BobbyCar race - we never miss out on the fun!

Being part of Advantest means being part of something bigger--contributing to the future of technology. I am proud to be on this journey with such a great team!"

Meet Moritoshi, who works as a device handling engineer

Moritoshi Akiya is a device handling engineer in charge of designing change kits, which require customization based on the devices under test. Akiya-san shared with us the importance of his role in managing design requests across the globe.

“Recently, in addition to my design work, I have also taken on the role of communicating requests received from customers to other designers, allocating the work, and guiding it to completion. We have customer representatives in the United States, the Philippines, Singapore, and Taiwan, and design representatives in Japan and Malaysia, and I frequently hold telephone conferences with them. Change kits play a key role in helping our customers accelerate their time to market, which is why we prioritize short delivery timelines whenever possible. We absolutely do not have time to redo designs, so we make sure to coordinate and share specifications early on.

I see my job as responding to customer expectations with a “Yes” attitude through global teamwork. It is always exciting to work together with colleagues from all over the world. I am also very proud of the atmosphere and culture of Advantest, where people can talk to each other freely regardless of position or region.”
