First-Time Award Recognizes Childcare Support Achievements
TOKYO, Japan—January 17, 2025—Leading semiconductor test equipment supplier Advantest Corporation (TSE: 6857) announced that it received the “Platinum Kurumin” certification from Japan's Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare on December 3, 2024. The company received the “Kurumin” certification in 2021, but this is the first time it has achieved the “Platinum Kurumin” accolade.

The Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare awards the Kurumin certification to companies that plan and execute initiatives for childcare support for employees, and that also meet certain requirements based on the government's "Act on Advancement of Measures to Support Raising Next-Generation Children."
The Platinum Kurumin certification recognizes Advantest’s efforts to create an environment that makes it easier for employees to return to work after maternity leave, increase the rate of paternity leave uptake, and encourage the use of in-house systems that contribute to an optimal work-life balance.
