TOKYO, Japan – November 17, 2022 – Leading semiconductor test equipment supplier Advantest Corporation (TSE: 6857) today announced that the company received an IR Special Award for the first time at the IR Awards 2022, sponsored by the Japan Investor Relations Association (JIRA).
JIRA's IR Awards, held for the 27th time this year (Committee Chairman: Tetsuo Kitagawa, Ph.D., Emeritus Professor of Aoyama Gakuin University and Professor of Tokyo Metropolitan University), are designed to recognize companies which have been highly accredited in the investment community for their understanding and promotion of IR activities. Of the JIRA member companies, 344 publicly-traded companies were eligible for the 2022 IR Awards.
JIRA stated that Advantest received an IR Special Award, which recognizes companies that take on a leadership role in IR activities in their respective industries, consistently improve IR practices, and are highly regarded for promoting their IR to individual investors, for the following reasons:
"The company has a clear stance of proactively listening to investor opinions and improving its IR activities. Management ambitiously develops strategies to improve corporate value, and the IR department carefully explains the progress of these strategies through investor visits and other means. The "balance sheet KPIs" set as the foundation for growth and shareholder returns have won attention. Advantest's willingness to disclose the quantitative risks affecting business performance in an uncertain market environment is also commendable. The company incorporates ESG initiatives into its management strategies and explains them in detail in integrated reports and other media."
Encouraged by this award, Advantest will continue to expand opportunities for information disclosure and dialogue with stakeholders, including shareholders and investors, and will strive to further improve its corporate value from a medium- to long-term perspective.
