Thirteen employees of Advantest (Singapore) Pte. Ltd. toured the Tuas South Incineration Plant (TSIP) on December 4th, 2009.

TSIP, built in 2000, is the largest incineration plant on the island of Singapore. With its state-of-the art features, it incinerates 3,000 tons of refuse every day through its six incinerators. TSIP is also called a green plant. A reclamation plant for boiler water is attached to the facility, which allows the use of recycled industrial wastewater and saves approximately 190,000 m3 of industrial water. It also generates 80 MWh of electricity through the thermal recycling process, 80% of which is supplied to power companies.

This plant tour was organized by ASP's CSR Committee. The participants learned that the waste generated by us was controlled and processed properly, and that various technologies were applied to device the method of reducing environmental burdens.

ASP will continue to provide a space for environmental education and increase the environmental awareness among our employees in the future.
