Advantest Kyushu Systems Co., Ltd. (AQS) (Kitakyushu-shi, Fukuoka-ken) offered internship programs to college and university students in Japan.

AQS accepted two students from the Kitakyushu National College of Technology in its 2-week internship program from July 26th, followed by another internship program in August, in which they accepted the total of nineteen students from Waseda University, the Kitakyushu National College of Technology, the Kyushu Institute of Technology and Kyushu University. These students were accepted as one-day interns of a corporate-supported human resource development program, called “IKKAN,” hosted by the Kyushu Semiconductor Industries & Technology Innovation Association (SIIQ). In these programs, the students were offered with hands-on experience in the manufacturing process of semiconductors, which they wouldn’t get involved in their college lives otherwise.

Young employees from AQS were also assigned for the interns’ education in IKKAN this time. These young employees were very well-received by the students, and their teaching experience also helped them increase their skill levels at work.

AQS hopes to continue its contribution to the community and society through business and internships, as well as contributing to the development of human resources in the semiconductor industry, in the future.
